WORK AS WORSHIP

LOVE OF CHRIST CHURCH • ST. CLOUD, MN

Work As Worship Retreat - St. Cloud

Friday, February 22, 2019 • 7:30am - 2:30pm

On February 22, join thousands of Christian business professionals across the country for a 1-day livestream event to hear from experts on connecting your faith and work.

Imagine spending a day at Love of Christ Church - interacting, praying with, and encouraging fellow business professionals from your church.  We have created an experience where you get to interact with the men and women who are leaders in your community. We will provide content rich with biblical teaching and practical real-life stories from seasoned Christian speakers.

Many people spend a great deal of time at work, and yet they don’t see how their work intersects with their faith. There isn’t a divide between the sacred and secular parts of our lives. Working with our God-given skills can be an act of worship.

We might spend two hours of our week at church or in a small group. This kind of worship is biblical and a vital rhythm in the life of a Christian. But during the other 166 hours of our week, we have just as much potential to worship the God who created us. Our time at church and small group should launch us out into the world—and into the places where we work—prepared to take the hope of Jesus with us.

RightNow Media’s beliefs about faith and work boil down to the following eight tenants:

1. Work is good.

2. Sin corrupted work.

3. Jesus makes it possible for work to be redeemed.

4. God gave us a mission.

5. We carry Christ into our work.

6. God grows us through our work.

7. God can do more with our work than we can imagine.

8. Work is worship.

God gives every person their talents and skills so that through them we might worship him. The Work as Worship Retreat is an opportunity to connect our talents and skills back to our daily worship through work.
