Love of Christ Lutheran Church governs itself using the Policy Governance model of organizational governance.  Policy Governance is a model of governance designed to empower the leadership of organizations to fulfill their obligation of accountability for the organizations they govern. The model enables the Leadership Council of Love of Christ to focus on the larger issues, to delegate with clarity, to control management's job without meddling, and to evaluate the accomplishment of the organization.

Bylaws of the Constitution

Leadership Council Policy Manual

The Leadership Council Policy Manual defines a vision, direction, goals, and desired outcomes for the congregation expressed in written policies. The Policy Manual also indicates specific policies regarding the Leadership Council, Leadership Council and Senior Pastor Relationship, and Senior Pastor Limitations.  The Leadership Council Policy Manual has not been officially adopted.  The Policy Manual will be adopted, after voters’ approval, at the Congregational Meeting scheduled for May 31, 2009, when the congregation votes on a vision statement and goals (REVEAL 2021) for Love of Christ over the next three to five years.  You may view the current draft of the Policy Manual in its entirety by clicking the link below.
