Have you ever thought of a place where children would have so much fun learning about how awesome God is that they wouldn’t want to miss a single week…where the music is so contemporary and engaging that the children leave humming the tunes, (click Listen Now for example of music) and the words help them remember biblical truths all week long…where creative teaching techniques, video and drama are effectively used to teach our children how to live the Christian life at home, at school, and in their neighborhoods…where Small Group Leaders love and encourage children while modeling Jesus. This is the kind of Sunday school we are striving to be. Here at Love of Christ, our Sunday School is based on a process we call "FAITH INK."    

Sunday School is offered for Pre-K thru High School, something for everyone.

Our lesson objectives are designed to help children discover the relevancy of the Bible. The first objective focuses on KNOW WHAT—kids will know the bible story presented.
The second objective focuses on SO WHAT?—kids understand the Bible truth in the story.
Through large group presentations, and small group discussion and support, students learn the basics of the Christian faith while enjoying an atmosphere of care and support. In this program we are developing children that are growing as Christ followers through a five ‘G’ focus:

  • Grace - by receiving God’s gift of grace and extending it to others.
  • Growth - in the knowledge of God and understanding how God’s purpose includes a plan for each of them.
  • Group - by experiencing friendships in a small group.
  • Gifts - by exploring how God has created them and how they can serve others with gifts they have received.
  • Giving - by developing hearts that recognize that all they have belongs to God and desire to use their resources and time for His purpose.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Bible Song Method

FAITH INK's Bible Song resource was chosen as the curriculum because of it's unique way of connecting Sunday School to the home, and the home to worship. First we immerse young people in a thorough understanding of a key Bible story by “Singing, arting and signing through the Scriptures” each week. Next, we connect church with the home in a nightly five-minute “Home Huddle.” The week’s scripture theme is added to caring conversations and fun with families who commit to: 1) Sharing Highs & Lows, 2) Reading/Singing/Signing the week’s scripture verse together, 3) Talking about their day, 4) Praying for one another’s highs and lows, 5) Blessing one another. We ask participating parents and children to covenant to making this a key part of their family ritual seven nights a week.
